Why are we different?

Skippko works with people who are disadvantaged by reason of poverty, ill health or social circumstances. Recent projects have involved older people, young people, disabled people and people with mental health needs.

Skippko gives ownership of the creative process and direction of the project to the group members, giving people influence over the ideas they wish to share and how they are seen by others. The length of projects varies depending on the needs of group members and is generally between 10 and 15 weeks.

Our methods have proved empowering for people who may not have the same control over other aspects of their lives, enabling them to grow in confidence and gain a huge sense of achievement.
